ummm.. need a little more info than what you're giving..
such as what's the condition of the truck?
This will determine what you need to do as far as prep goes..
if you have never painted anything before you may want to start out small and work you're way up to your truck.. materials are expensive and wasting them is is more costly..

You can use any primer you would like as long as it's a high build catalyzed type primer. This way, it's completely cured before you apply the paint.
You should use the same brand 'sealer' as the paint you will be using.
I've used some fresh air systems. You can do a search and come up with some info.
