House of Kolor Questions

I have a few questions about House of Kolor bc/cc systems, and was hoping someone might know. I know that it's a cardinal rule not to mix systems, but does anyone know if there will be a problem putting a House of Kolor base over MP181 PPG lacquer primer? Also, using black, how much base would I need for a complete outside and inside repaint of a Vw Bug? Would I be able to get away with 3 quarts or would I need a full gallon? Thanks for any help,

Kyle, i dont think the laquer primer was a good idea, adhesion and corosion protection both suck. i would get the gallon which would yield 6 quarts of sprayable black, ever get into a paintjob and run out of material, especially when the jobber is already closed, not a good situation to get your self into.
