I have a 84 Mustang that I am the third owner. The orginal owner had it painted  a bright red  couple years ago..I   am trying to get a match on the red paint that will match it When they painted the car they did not paint the door jams; and under the h/b area. I have taken to Sherwin William auto paint and they tried to match via chips. No luck. To Napa and they used a machine to;spectoscope the correct paint mix& no luck there. Also when to a Dupont store and they used similar machine and no luck on the Chroma base.

Any suggestion on how to get the right red.

Anyone in Columbus area custom mix paint to match it.

very surprised that you can't find a jobber that can't match a color.
A bright solid red is fairly easy to match.

Possibly you can get in touch with the previous owner and see if you can get the code or just try another jobber.
One of them have a good color matcher on hand.
