Its time for my bike to get it's paint flames done. My problem is I want to do the base with a Bright Atlantic blue with Blue flames. My bike has the Inferno theme - Mirrors, Durby Cover....(See pic below) Now my question is what whould be the best way to paint the black part on those to match my bike? What would be a lasting paint.

I am guessing you want to paint the area around the flames on the back of the mirror.
Your best bet would be to polish the chrome real good and carefully mask the flames. (you might want to use some liquid mask for this). Since the area is already painted black you can probably paint right over it. After your done removing the tape any overspray should come off of the chrome pretty easy. Never done this but it could work.
Another option would be to find a paint you can put on with a brush that matches your color pretty close.

If your wanting to paint the black areas only,an air brush would be best but a brush will work, first off, make sure you de-wax/degrease the parts really well.use a Q-tip and rub in all the corners.
Instead of masking,as your painting and paint is still real wet, take a rag(one layer) wrapped around your finger real tight,(an old t-shirt works good-something with a very low nap)lay your finger flat on the piece and wipe the paint off the chrome making sure you don't push down Kinda like a squeegie. The neater you are,the easier it wipes off.If you have to use a brush, thinning the paint helps eliminate brush marks, two VERY THIN coats should do.If the parts are longer than your finger,do it in sections.
