How long before masking on fresh urethane?

Hi,
I'm painting my fiberglass motor home. I was wondering how long do I have to wait till I can safely mask over the single stage urethane enamel, in order to do the next color. I used the proper amount of hardener in the mix. Don't want to peel paint off with the tape, but I need to get the next color on today. I've been a painter for 30 years, but not in auto paint, so much has changed since I last painted a car.
BTW this is a great forum for learning things about auto paint.

Jimmy,
You should at least wait one day. If you had a few colors, probably should have went with basecoat/clearcoat. Could have sprayed all three colors in one day. Then you would need clearing.

I would place a piece of tape on it the next day. Let it sit for a bit. Then pull it off to see if it left a print. If not, you should be safe to mask it up.

I guess I'll go ahead and wait to be on the safe side. And yes I think now I should have gone with the base and clear coat for a variety of reasons.
