After I put down my base coat how long do i need to wait until i tape the flames and should I shoot a thin coat of clear first? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif

Just to be on the safe side,I would lay a coat of clear,wait 24hrs,scuff the whole thing,tapeout and paint the flames.
