How to get small amounts of base coat?

Hi,

I just did my first flame job using AutoAir water-based. One reason I used them is you can get them in 4-oz. quantities. But I read in here that using base is better, and that makes sense. But how to get small quantities?

Would it be feasible/possible to buy untinted base and then buy different toners so I can mix my own?

Hi Mike you might try your local auto body supplier.They let me go through their misstint cabnet.They usually charge me between 2 to 5 bucks a quart.Might be worth a try.

The mixing system we have at my shop, we can mix as little as a couple ounces. Most larger jobbers have the same system for PPG. Some colors however can only be mixed so small for accurate match.

I second what Brian said. My jobber hooks me up big time with mis-tints or stuff that gets ordered but never picked up.
