how to pull tape

I've read back through the old posts and have a few things I'm not real clear on.
1. What direction do you pull the tape, at an angle away from the flame you just painted or at an angle back over and towards the area you just painted?

2. Do you wait for the paint to completely dry before pulling the tape and do you ever have a problem with the edge of the painted area 'lifting' with the tape?

Thanks,
JB

Try and pull the tape back in a 90 degree angle. The purpose of this is to eliminate the tape from tearing while you are pulling back. If you go farther then that then the tape will break resulting in you touching the tape and the paint on a constant basis. You also want to pull tape off as soon as the paint flashes. This would be that you do not want any tape marks and the paint needs to flow. By doing this you will have less paint bulid up.
