Any suggestions, other than sanding. Dont wanna melt the plastic. Its actually the plastic dash from my 68 Mustang. Tried painting it, and got too much paint /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/foreheadslap.gif, now I need to strip it. I used some brake cleaner and that took some off. Just dont wan to ruin the pieces. After searching the internet I tried pinsol, but tht didnt work, any other suggetions please... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Have you tried lacquer thinner yet?Wear gloves 'cause it's messy but it should work.PPG came out with a new dye that works awesome on plastic, fabric and leather.I think it's DIU color but not sure,it's part of their newer Specialty line. You'll need a can of the plastic primer but it's just their 801 in a spraycan.I had to do a new dash a few months ago and I couldn't scratch it off with my fingernail like the old UCV crap.
