Hunter green from Chrome Yellow?

I am in the process of painting batting helmets, 10 of them. They will be 2 toned yellow and dark green. I don't want to mask no more than I have to. Question: if I base coat the yellow HOK Chrome Yellow, what Kandy or Kandy base coat would I use to get a dark green. I am going for the Oakland A's color scheme.

Blue candy over yellow should go green but I don't think it will come close to being dark enough for you, you'll have to try it to see.

Use Organic green candy over the chrome yellow.
You'll get a nice vibrant green. The more coats, the darker the green.

I've read & heard this advice from Craig Fraiser. To darken the darker hues of Kandy, such as Organic green add a drop of black base coat to the KK. Always make sure you test it on something besides your project first to make sure you're on the right track. A slight addition of black won't change the hue of the darker kandys. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sunglass.gif

Ameilia,
You might want to just us to "solid" colors.
Spary the helmets white, then spray the yellow over white. Then mask off the are for the green and spray a solid green (non-candy).
YOu need to spray a white base under the yellow so the yellow will cover quickly. Then the green will cover the yellow in 1 to 2 coats.
Look at the PPG "Earth Wind" colors at your local auto body supply store. They have a couple brighter colors you could use.
