Hello! Im training to be a painter now in Vancouver and its awesome, great fun. Since im apprenticing Im currently running on a sata 4000 RP for all top coats (will turn to my base gun eventually when I expand my collection) and a sata 100 RP for primer.

Anyways, for my question on motorcycles. I am thinking of painting my mirrors but I have never seen a bike thats done it so I have no clue if it will look good. Usually people just leave it stock matte plastic. If you think it will look nice can I get some opinions on what colors will look good on it? Im thinking not the stock color of the bike, something that complements it, or even two tone or something. Here is my bike so you guys can get an idea,

The official color name is Glass Midnight Brown. Its has nice big copper flakes that pop in the sunlight. In shade it almost looks straight black. Its a pretty cool effect. Check out my instagram, I have some of the stuff i painted on there. Thanks ahead of time!

Looks like a nice bike! I really didn't see a closeup of the mirrors, but there might be a reason you've never seen mirrors painted on that particular bike. Possibly they are textured or the mirror face is very close to the edge of the mirror head, thus making it peel real easy if you paint it. Again, I don't know. But if you plan on painting them, I really only see the one option and that would be the brown color. Possibly the titanium color on the bottom of your bike, but the mirrors may just stand out too much.

If you plan on painting it the brown color, you may want to check on price for all materials before you dive in just to paint two mirrors. You may find you'll have $150-$250 just in materials.
That may be a tri-stage paint. Probably a black or very dark base - crystals - then clearcoat.
