I would like to try and paint my bike. i don't want to have to buy separate guns since I am not planning to do too much.

I have an older Devilbliss that I have used for priming, but never shot color out of it.

Will it be ok to use it to prime/seal and then do a base/clear job?

Is there any special things I can do to make sure I get the gun thoroughly cleaned out...besides just running thinner through it?

As long as it's clean, you'll be fine with one gun.You can take the tip off and make sure all the holes are open and make sure the needle is perfectly clean as well.Set up of your gun is the next most important and I thought was the hardest at first. You want to have the smallest droplets of paint as you can get.Jim

Thank you Jim.

I'm sure most real painters have a couple guns for different jobs, but like I said, I'm not planning on beign a real painter!

If nothing else, but a thirty dollar china made gun for primer.

It would really suck to get a chunk of primer in your last coat of clear........
