I am going to paint for the first time and I am using PPG products. The hardner has isocynates in it. Does this require me to use a respirator with its own air supply? I have professional respirators and the shop has good ventilation. I am going to be painting a bike so there will not be a lot of overspray and fumes as compared to painting a car. Thanks

OldSchool -- YES YES YES -- USE A Mask!!!! -- and not one of those oldschool dusk masks!!! LOL!! -- You can use a Charcoal Filter mask - 3M makes disposible ones that you can paint 3 or 4 bikes with before it goes bad --- pretty cheap too -- If you can use one with its own airsupply thats even better -- Isocynates are a bitch on your nervous system --- you'll start shakin like a crack-head with out a good mask!!! --- Bones!~

Don't throw away the bag the disposable comes in either,it's a ziplock. They're good for about 40hrs of use so seal it up in the bag when you're done with it to keep it's life going, just throwing it on the bench will take the life out of it.
