Ive been Lurking for a while. Have some??

First off Great site! Ive been Lurking around for a while and this is my first post. So far Ive learned a ton on the site! Lots of info and it seems like members are always willing to help. Im new to painting and for some reason I cant get it out of my head! Im hooked! Ive always done a lot of Custom projects but when it comes time to lay the paint I send my projects out. My last thing I tried to paint was my bike. It turned out pretty good but I had a lot of Orange peel in it. I just took it as a learning curve and Im ready to learn some more. I want to lay some Flames on my truck now, I have some left over HOK Candy blue left and I would like to use it for the Flames. My question is my Truck is White and will I be able to lay the blue on top of the White and will it look ok? Or will I have to use something like a HOK Silver base first? Thanks for the help!

If it were me, I'd lay down a coat of silver or gold first. If you go over the white, you won't have as much reflection to give the candy some depth.
