hi there

just wondering about job 214
by what was said about it it sounds
like the flake went first then kandy purple
my question is can you kandy over any flake
or do you have to carefull about mixing colours??
does the kandy kill the colour of the flake at times??
eg i layed a base coat out in gold
then fireball red flake
then kandy brandywined over

but the result looked like a handfull of dust under the kandy coat.

Col,
Sure, you can candy over flake, in fact it sounds like you did it correctly. Possibly you put too much candy over the flake....keep in mind to, that flakes need 'light' to really sparkle...if it doesn't have a good light, yes, it will kind of look like 'specs' in the paint.

ok maybe it was a lack of light
i couldnt check it under light with the uk weather as it is.

also do you have to match the flake to the base then kandy a different colour for best results
