Kandy paint sequence?

Well. I'm about ready to try my first paint job (with the help of a friend that paints cars), here's what I'm thinking. Start with a gold base, Intermeadiate clear followed by black (or darker gold) flames, then kandy brandywine over that, my question is what type of Kandy do I use? The uathane kandy, which I assume replaces (or incorporates) the clear coat or the kandy base which you have to clear over. Which results in a nicer finish? DO you still have to clear over the UK finish? any other suggestions would be appreciated. Trying to get the finish that is shown in several sample jobs.

Thanks

Mikey,
I use the Urethane Kandies (UK)
Yes, that is the step by step.

I do clear over the candy UK.

I went to a House of Kolors workshop, and Jon Kosmoski said that you should put "1 coat" over the UK. I usually put more though.
