Lamborghini paint code help

So i found the color i want to paint my car right, problem is its a lambo color...ive looked up the paint code online and can only find the manufactors paint code number. Take it to an paint store and noone can cross it over to anything. I was wondering if anyone has ever had to touch up a lambo or has a color code for anything close to this. Lamborghini code is 9022 the color is giallo orion pearl. I need that code in anything but lambo...ppg, dupont, whatever...can anyone help?

I believe it's a tri-stage paint.
Color code seems to be 9022. Call your local jobber and see if they come up with anything using that code.

Well i finally found a supplier in wisconsin smart enough to cross the code and get me the friggon paint lol. You were right TAZ ...3-stage pearl. Just got one concern in painting the pearl...will i be able to keep a consistant coat of pearl with just a regular hvlp gun or do i need something different? I bought a gun from the mac tools guy and painted a truck and some heavy equiptment at work...seemed to be fine there but again...no pearl or metallic colors there. So will that Mac gun work?? It has a 1.4 tip how will that work for me? Also probably use a white sealer on the yellow car being painted lambo yellow?? or a really light gray?? Thanks guys!

I don't see why you can't just get this mixed up by a local jobber?
Did you check with them and give them the paint code?

You 'should' be able to spray the pearl coat all right. Really depends on how much experience you have at spraying pearls and how good the gun setup is. Normally a 1.3 would be better for a pearl coat.
You might want to go to a local dealership and see if you can picked up a slightly damaged fender or hood and give it a test run on that.

A white or a very light gray would work fine. Probably white would be the best.

Yup, they are mixing it up for me right now I'll go pick up my white sealer today and a 1.3 tip for my gun!! My cousin owns a salvage yard so ill go get a hood from him and make a few test runs. I appreciate the help and want to keep this forum going...glad to be a supporter!! Thanks again TAZ!!
