This may sound like a stupid question but do you guys use anything on your fingers to help slide along the tape when you are laying out? I was running some 1/8" today and my finger kept catching on the tape. Thanks.

before i got use to the pressure on the tape w/ my fingers, i would use those brown work gloves over my finger tips. I would cut off the finger tips and put it on my index finger. i still use it when i'm using pinstriping tape so that my finger oils don't get under the tape.

here is a pic of just using pinstriping tape for a graphic.

Nice work Hoss. Now, what do you do after you have the tape down? Are you using it as a guide for striping or are you airbrushing those areas? Also, how do you get both sides of the tailgate symmetrical?
Nice work.

there are some people that don't want it to be perminent(like paint) so i just use 3m pinstriping tape. just like those examples. i just leave it like that.

as for symetry, i do one thing at a time. i'll make a line, and go to a stopping point, and do the same thing on the other side. I don't do one whole side, and then do the other side. i do it step by step. (SEE ATTATCHMENT)
