Hey guys,
How long is it suggested to wait after apinting and buffing before you can wash a paint job using mild detergents (like a car wash soap) ? With all the wet weather around here lately my new paint job is looking ...well ...not so new..
thanks!

I was taught that clear dries from the outside in and cures from the inside out. Dry time 12-24 hours. Cure time 6-8 weeks.

You can wash your paintwork as much as you want to using a mild soap sollution, so long as you rinse well. You shouldnt polish your paintwork for at least 3 months to give the clear time to cure. Washing is no problem, polish is.

You can wash it the next day if you like. If the sun is out, don't let the water sit on the paint long as it will water spot.
