Some pros here must know what I mean by lively. It is the same area needing something every few years...not just because of tires,(I refer to a car) or anything obvious, just active areas. Think rally car on simply maine roads for a year.

I did purchase stuff approved for aviation once, epoxy based aviators paint, and it did great up until the day I totalled the car, and that wasn't long enough to know if it was the real durable. Recently, similar model, I purchased two part clear and some 1 year paint code to do this like a pro would. I am also purchaing new gun just for this one chore...garage with stuff needed is ready to go.

My question before I waste time..what is the absolute strongest undoubtable clear coat? I ponder high voc unheard of to the public and unique hardeners to go with it.
For now I have Klearcote 5185 and a fast hardener, right off the paint store shelf. Oh, also basecoat, primers do excellent. The clearcoats are the complete dud, it is ridiculous..

I think all of todays clearcoats are very good. I personally use UC35 and it seems to work and last fine. I've been using it now for 8+ years and have painted well over 1000 cars and motorcycles. I'm sure you would also be fine with PPG, Dupont, BASF...and other top of the line clears. You get what you pay for also applies for clears (and their hardeners)
