what is the brighest red (factory color) that doesn't look or turn orange over time. was leaning twards the gm torch red.

Torch red starts with a 850J red base,then a burgandy and dull orange is added to make torch red,just shot the red base without the other colors,it looks orange under certain light.I shot it over grey primer,it reccomended a white base.If you look at the lower left picture of the viper,you'll see the orange I'm talking about.The red base looked redder than the color chip but,still has that orange look.Whichever you choose,maybe shooting over a white sealer or base is the answer!

For the very brightest red, spray all parts white, then you can spray a straight red toner (most mixing systems have this) over the white. You can also do this with Torch Red....

personally, for any bright red I need, I use Torch Red

All reds will bleach out in time no matter what you use,the timeframe depends on how much sun it sees and how direct the rays hit it-meaning the south is much worse than the north.Candys are even worse.
