Lots o Flames

Hi everyone. Newbie to the board here. Great place! Flames have become my specialty since they seem to be wildly poplular nowdays. I have a few tricks up my sleeve if ya want to share...... <font color="purple"> </font>

Hi Fern, welcome to the board. I'm also new to the board and new to painting. I'm about to tackle painting my bike (electraglide) 12 pieces. I have a sata minijet3 and a devilbiss finishline3 and a Iwata eclipse airbrush. I have just completed a portable spray booth in my garage, just about finished sanding, ready for primer then I plan on a black base, clear, tape out flames, a little silver then candy apple red over the flames then clear. Pretty much everything i know about my project, I learned here in a short while. To think this all started from my saddlebag lid flying off on the highway. I'm looking forward to this challenge but if you have any tricks or tips, chime in, I'm all ears.

Hey Rex, I didn't read all the other posts till after, or I wouldn't have been so nice. Rules are rules and Scott has alot invested in this I'm sure. Unfortunately most people skip over them when registering, myself included, human nature I suppose. That said, it's a great site and like I said, I will be attempting my first paint job and if it weren't for this board, I probably wouldn't have. There's nothing like experience!
