Does anyone know where I can get Harley Davidson 2004 Luxury Blue paint or something close? The Harley dealer around here dosen't want to deal with it.

Kev,
You sure Luxury Blue is a tri-stage /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
I've always sprayed it as a bc/cc and it matched fine (I do a lot of trike bodies)...but I use Global.

I know Sinister Blue is a tri-stage and uses the candy green over the blue metallic base.

I'm not honestly positive, but that's how it came up in the PPG thingy. ??

Burnt,
I just ordered PPG Global "Luxury Blue". I don't have the 'luxury' of having my own paint system yet...mainly since I use HOK.

Keep in mind, that some paint paint systems will offer a color in a 3 stage and some will offer it in a bc/cc.
I remember a Acura NSX I once did on a very bright red. one system was a 3 stage, another in a bc/cc.
We're (me and Kev) are both probably right /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bigokay.gif
Ask the paint rep you talk to to see if they offer it in a bc/cc

OK, now this is wierd. I went back to the PPG thing, searched Luxury Blue again and got only a bc/cc, no tri-coats this time.
Anyway Burnt, the DBC formula for a pint of this is:

193774
Code Description Parts
DMD1675 BLUE 228.3
DMD1683 BLACK 346.9
DMD1690 CRS. ALUM. 423.4
DMD1607 BLUE 498.6
DMD1684 WHITE 502.4

Double checking is always a good idea. I was searching for the non metalic red (Laser Red?) for a Mustang and PPG had it as a tri-coat but Dupont had it as a BC/CC. I knew the metallic red was a tricoat, but I thought it was wierd that the non-met. would have been. Although, I have had colors matched through both companies and have had awesome matches either way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I had the same situation with that Mustang Red. I didn't want to shoot a nonmetallic red as a tri-coat, so I picked an alternate that PPG had for the same color as just bc/cc.
It matched dead nuts too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
