Magic formula?

I'm new at this painting thing , this site is great i'v been reading untill my brain hurts. Now I want to paint.
I'm using createx auto-air, i have no room, so the fumes have to go (spraying in my kitchen) but this is a hobby for me so pro quality is not needed. I have a Norton commando chopper that I want to paint, so my plan was colour with createx and then clear at a buddies place with a nice PPG clear. Am I thinking wrong or should this be cool?
Question 2 (more important) the createx paint has a funny mixture of catalyst, thinner, and bond all, is there a magic formula for mixing so the paint isn't so soft it rubs off in my hands? the directions createx offers are vague, my test pannels are not turning out so nice and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good mix for spraying base colour on a tank sanded down to the primer?
I think this site rocks and i'm excited to get some nice paint on my chop! Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

When spraying Auto Air you would add the catalyst with a few drops per ounce of paint. As far as the bond-all, throw it out!! It's useless. Thinning is not required. If so, use distilled water or 100% alcohol. A little at a time.
When done, simply heat gun the paint to "set " it. Don't hold it in one spot too long or it will bubble up on you.
Clearcoating with any urethane clear is fine.
Should work like a million bucks for you.
Just watch out for the colored dust in the rest of your house.

I agree with dirt. Throw out the bond all. I have been using createx for several years now and all the bond all does is clog your airbrush.
Createx suggests 4 drops catalyst per ounce of paint (I only use two) for the auto air paints, and 5 drops per two oz. of regular createx. If you are not sure about using a regular heat gun or don't have one, you can use a blow dryer.

I have a ? about the catalyst part. I talked to people that used createx for a few years now and they said that they do not use it. When talking to Createx they said it was not needed it only helps in the heat setting process. So when using the paint should one use the catalyst or not. does it aid in the paints life if in the sun.

If Createx says you don't, then you don't.
I guess it's just insurance then. The key word is it "helps" in the process. So I would use it.

Without the catalyst it doesn't dry completely. It just gets kind of rubbery. If you are going to do and taping on it then use the catalyst. If you are going to clear it right away you can probably leave it out.
