Marbilizer HELPPPPPP!

I sprayed the marbilizer on my pearl blue basecoat and messed up one of my flames on one side of my tank. I sanded down one side and reshot it (Basecoat and marbilizer same), now that the marbilizer has dried, it looks a little different color (darker) than the other side. I have not shot the SG100 on the fresher side as of yet.
My questions are 1. Will the SG100 lighten the fresher side up, so I can continue?
2. If this does not lighten the fresher side up, can I retape my flames and re- marbilize the whole job to get it to the same color?

Any ideas are appreciated, this is my first flame job and first time to spray the marbilizer, which is really cool.

Thanks alot, This site is great!

Hi Ski,
The answer to your questions (unfortunately) is most likely no. The SG100 will not lighten anything you shoot it over, and if the colors are different, remarbelizing them is probably not the answer, however you should contact House of Kolor to get their ideas. (601)-798-4229, or go to their website and email them your questions.

I haven't played with HOK but the principles are the same for all.First I'd spray a spot of the SG100 and compare it to the other 1/2 of the tank.If it looks different stop and strip both to redo them at the same time.In general a coat of clear will add depth to the base giving the illusion of being darker, depending on the situation of course.Occasionally it will brighten up the base so it might match nicely so you wont know until you do it.Hopefully the latter is the case but you have to compare them apples to apples if you know what I mean.

To update you guys, I had to sand down and start over again. I learned a lesson about trying to match sides once you have marbilized the tank (impossible.... or if it does work you are lucky and need to move to Vegas!)

I just completed the whole job and want to post some pics... What is the best way to do this?

Thanks to this site this project is complete, My hats off to you guys that do this everyday.

I have also found that trying to match Marbelizer from one spot to another is nearly impossible...it seems to me that the stuff changes 'shades' with the thickness of the marbelizer and with the length of time that it has to set up before you 'texture' it.
