Marbleized Flames

I am shooting flames using the green Blue marbelizer. It says to clear with sg 100 or use adhereto before clear coating for adhesion. But i will need to let the base dry to lay out the flames. Do I need to use the Adhereto before shooting the marbelizer or can I just scuff it as usual? I want it to stay. Thanx! Braz

Depending on how elaberit the pattern is going to be, I usualy clear my base
let dry
then scuff
lay out the pattern
mask out the rest
spray on a wet coat of marbalizer
quickly cover with a wrinkled cheet of plastic (rurandwrap) and remove
let it flash, then remove your masking
and clear.

I'v never had any problems with adhiesion this way

safe way to do it is to spray your base. a few minutes later, coat in SG-100 and let dry 30 min to an hour (depending on temp). Lay out your flames and spray a thin coat or two of marbilizer with in the flames. Do the effect you want with the marbilizer and wait a few minutes. Remove the plastic wrap and then top coat with SG-100. You can top with adherto, but I like how SG-100 sort of smooths out marbilizer, so that's my choice. Keep the SG-100 fairly thin though and don't build it up too high. Wait a little while and then slowly peal up your tape.

good luck
