Masking flames

I have seen a few shows and they fine line the flames then put a kinda clear masking product over the area and trim to the fine line. looks a lot faster than all the tape. My ??? is what is this product called. And a good place to get it.

Welcome.I'm having brainfade at the moment but I think it's called 'automask'.Coast Airbrush sells it I believe.

It is Automask. I use it all the time. However, if you're still trying to get smooth edges with flames it's best to tape out the flames with fine line tape and then mask the rest with automask. It does cut down on the tape time tremendously.

i have started to use 1 and a half inch masking tape using the same method described in sted of the auto mask, the automask seems to get a bet fuzzy when i start spraying on top of it. i lay down 1 strip of tape at a time then cut it right out befofe moving on to the next piece.
