Just sprayed some test panels with red metalflake, one with a black base and one with a red base, i can't decide which one to use. Whats your opinions on which to use?

I would say it is covered about 75%, I am not looking at an overall job, no graphics, and it is on a 94 s10 i have never done a flake job on something near this big , i just don't want it to be cheesy looking

I'd go with the black myself,it's rare white anything looks good to me.Don't rely solely on me though, you know what they say about opinions.Get opinions from others here and friends too.

If you're talking about putting the pearl in the black, look at a chip book for GM back in the early 90s/late 80s for a color called Black Cherry. That's all it's made of.The problem with it is it looks brown until the sun hilights the pearl. Is this a new idea or was the metalflake we're talking about really pearl? It's better to put pearl or flake over the color for the best effect.

Can you see much of the base color or are you covering it over?I lean to black usually. If you're covering the base how about using both, one for the base color and the other for grafix, then flake it all.
