Metallic Blue. What color flames?

I was going to paint my car metallic blue and I was wondering what color flaes would look good with this color paint?

I was thinking maybe like a purple, siler combo.

What do you think?

It might sound stupid but its a volkswagon fox.

Its kind of a learning project.

Maybe I wont paint it blue yet but i was thinkin it would look pretty cool.

Also how much paint do you think i would need to paint the car? One guy told me a gallon of base and a gallon of clear. That seems like alot to me.

If you seal the car in a color close to the paint (same shade), this will minimize usage of the basecolor.
You should be able to get by with 2 quarts of base (will reduce to a gallon in most paints).
And maybe three quarts of clear, plus hardner.
