Mixing brands

Searched for this with no luck. I know its here somewhere though. I'd lke to know if you guys mix brands. Say PPG over HOK bases etc., etc. I know its "Not Recamended" but....... Does it work. Or do they just not play well together chemically? The reason, I'd like to use PPG primer, HOK colors topped with PPG CC.

Same here. Sometimes you have to!
Never had a problem.
I know there are a couple systems that you do not want to mix with. PPG and HOK seem to work fine together for the most part.

Is it true that HOK buys paint making materials from PPG? My local PPG dealer wont confirm it but says he "thinks he heard that somewhere" ?
The PPG 3000 clear seems to work ok on HOK.

I've used differant products over and under each other without any problems,(primers,sealers,base and clear)I think it's when you try to use differant brand catlyst and reducers that you can get in trouble.jim
