mixing pearl powders?

can any one tell me a starting point for mixing
pearl powders with clear?

Also any info on the differences between powder peal products? I know in the old days
the formula was diifrent.

I checked my Tech sheets for HOK and it says to mix:

for dark base: 3/4 - 1 level tsp (teaspoon) of pearl per mixed quart of clear

for light base: 1 - 2 level tsp pearl per mixed quart of clear.

Also, I called the tech line to ask specifically what to shoot and the guy told me to be sure and mix it heavy enough to get full coverage in no more than 4 coats of clear (HOK SG100 intercoat clear).

When I shot my kameleon pearl it took four coats but it covered beautifully. I mixed it at the 1 tsp/qt rate.

Thanks for the answers , I have a chevy stepside i want to do ghost flames on.
