Ok guys I got a couple of questions for the flame masters on here. I am sprying siver HOK dry pearl over a dark blue metalic base. I was wondering if you guys can give me any help on mixing the pearl to get the ghost effect. I will be mixing it wilt a blending clear the base is down and cleared. I also want to know if the ghost that are just around the edge airbrushed and then misted over with the gun. Any input would be great.
Thanks In Advance

Mixing the pearl is a guess, add just a dab to some clear and try it on a test panel,it's going to jump out fast on that dark blue.

JP,here is a little tip with pearls, on dark base colors less is more if you know what i mean. ghost flames are generally just airbrushed on the edges, not saying it cant be done the other way you described, but its just my prefrance. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bigokay.gif

Yeah, that was close.Same old crap here, waiting still for the final check to finish the bike.I'm going nuts without it,hopefully I'll have it back in 2 or 3 weeks so I can paint it.Oh,here's a good one,the OL totalled her truck a few weeks ago so in 2 months we wiped out 2 vehicles. The same day she wrecked the friggin title was sitting in the mailbox, what a slap in the face that was.So how's things up in the land of snow?

Rex, what do you mean land of snow? Just because the snow hasn't melted for weeks, 8-10 inches are coming in the next few days, and I can't feel my fingers after a few minutes outside doesn't make Connecticut a bad place to live.... Now if only I had a heated paint booth I would be good to go.

Yeah,a few days before Thanxgiving a semi pushed me off the road on a left hand turn with a railroad Xing.Wasn't good,I had to jump off and the bike cartwheeled down the road.Only a couple stitches in the head and a banged up leg (self inflicted when I fell in the culvert /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/foreheadslap.gif) but the bike damn near totalled. They actually tried to but I told them they'll have to buy me a new one because I can't replace it for what they said it's worth, which turned out to be trade-in price. The wife's truck was supposed to get us another year so I could save some money since we just payed it off, what a pisser. At least the people that hit her had State Farm so things went smooth on that one. Both kind of worked out good, the bike is getting alot of upgrades and we finally got a pickup, that Exploder was starting to bug me since I really need a bed and this 5.4L towes much nicer than that tired out wimpy 4.0L
