Moisture in air lines.

I've noticed a lot of questions lately about contamination problems such as fisheye.
Some of this could be due to water in the air lines. No matter how good your filter is if you put it too close to the compressor you won't trap all of the water.
In my setup I use a 6 foot piece of copper tubing from the compresser to the water trap. I have it rolled into a coil which helps to condense the moisture quicker. I also have a trap at the inlet on each gun. Even my airbrushes have inline traps.
Make sure to empty the traps often and you should have a much more pleasent spraying experience.

I live in Humidity central down in south Texas. I was almost getting a steady stream of water out of my gun during the summer. I completely eliminated the water by mounting a 20' piece of galvanized 3/4" pipe on the wall of the garage sloped back towards the compressor.I have a drain leg that goes straight down on the compressor end with a tee at the top where the compressor is hooked in. On the opposite end I have a loop coming off the top with a water trap.Water trap never has any water in it.Every couple of days I drain the drain leg and thats it!
