Molding in welds on a frame

I'm ready to start doing the bodywork on my chopper frame so it can be painted. My question is this --- the frame has been sandblasted and has been primered with HOK KP-2CF, can I apply the body filler over the primer or must I sand it off to bare metal anywhere I use filler? The filler I'm using is Evercoat Z-Grip.

If that's their epoxy primer just rough it up good with 80grit and putty it.One of those little 3" da's work good in tight areas. If you can't really get the whole area sanded like down in the edges of the weld just sandblast that spot and get the putty on it to avoid rust.Wouldnt hurt to get primer on it as soon as possible if it's humid or raining to prevent the putty from sucking up moisture.

That post is burried in a topic within the last 10 weeks I believe and somewhat long between a few replies. As soon as I get some spare time I'm going to do a post in the TIPS section to clarify in one place the culmination of my epoxy posts and the confusion with my epoxy (DP40 from PPG) and others.Hopefully this weekend I can get it done.Oh,Newbie, spank spank /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif
