mounting new painted parts

I got a fender back that I recently painted(the guy's kid dropped somthing on it).The clear coat is mashed in where the washers go.He mounted it a week after I painted it but,I thought the clear would be harder than that.Is this normal?This is the first time I saw one of my painted parts that was mounted and removed soon after.I know I mixed correctly,I wonder if it's the cheaper clear I went to?Jim

I used HOK UFC35 on my Roadking and had the same thing happen. I figured it was just normal??? It was longer than 1 week between cut/polish and mounting. It was 2 - 3 weeks. I've had no other problems with this paintjob and it has been on the road now for almost 4 years.
