Why is it that when I am having trouble getting my clearcoat to cover evenly or am having trouble with runs there's never a bug to be found ANYWHERE...but when I get my techique down and the clear is flowing out smooth , covering nice and NO RUNS....I get BUGS!!! :headbutt: Murphy's law I guess. Oh well , nuthin a little sanding and another coat of clear can't fix....

Yea, never fails...been there done that.
Usually, if you have a orange peel clear or one that is 'dry', or spotty, the clear tacks up quicker, thus letting dirt and bugs not sticking to it as much. When you slick it out nice and flat, the clear stays wet longer.

You should be able to wetsand it out as long as at it landed in the last coat or after you were done.
:luck:
