After reading this Board for weeks, I finally painted a black helmet I had. It turned out alright but the main thing is I learned alot from it. I painted a second helmet and it turned out even better. I then got the courage to paint on my black 2002 Heritage Softail and other than re-doing the front fender 3 times, I think it turn out pretty Awsome. It looks even better in person and under the sunshine. Check it Out! What do you all think?

Thanks for GREAT Board!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drink.gif

Looks superb, real gutsy of you to attack your harley, Like the harley decal on the tank, thinking of having a go myself on mine. How did you achieve the Harley decal?

Hello, Thanks for the comment. The decal is a stencil I had made at one of our sign places. They computer cut it on a vinyl decal. Cost me about $15.00 bucks for both sides. All I had to do was line it up and stick it on. I airbrushed a light coat of white pearl after masking everything else off. Then I carefully pealed the stencil off before the paint dried too much.

Thanks Guys,

Your right Jim, The colors turned out nice! I used Rustic Red Pearl and White Pearl over a Black Base. The black base made the red pearl look kinda red burgandy and the white pearl looks silver. And when the Sun hits it just right the white pearl shows slight hints of blue. The next thing I'm going to do is purchase two new black helmets and paint them to match with a smaller stencil on the front.
