My new project

Started this friday. The guys and I are going round and round about how I should paint it. Some say take the doors fenders ect off and spray it. But I think I should jamb it then put it all togeather then shoot it. What do you think?

I agree with ya,jamb it,then spray it.It'll look more uniform,less room for error,Jim

Tiller are you doing a color change. If your going with a solid color you can get away with doing it in pieces but if its a metallic shoot it all together.
One thing i will do sometimes on a metallic job (if its going to be a show ride) is to paint everything in pieces, clear everything put it back together block it with 600 or 800 then a couple light coats of base then clear .

I know this sounds like a big waste of time and mtl but base lays down soooo flat over sanded clear it looks 3 miles deep when your done.

The paint has a LOT of pearl in it, but thats it. I said screw it and shot it all in pieces and what do you know everything matches perfect!It turned out GREAT! Im very happy and for me thats a task! I just hit it with 1500 today. Ill finish her up on monday.
