Has anyone tried this line and what are your honest opinions? I am trying to cut some costs at my shop.

The clear works pretty well, especially for parts. The DOI is really decent when comparing it to others. The primers are adequate but a little difficult to sand, yet you can't beat the price.
The base coats cover adequately depending on the background color used.
That's the best info I could offer at this time. Try and See what you think.

I've use the Nason Ful-thane bc/cc in pearl metallic and opaques. It's not a bad system for the price and is almost as good as the regular Dupont of the same color. I have shot Chevy torch red in both Dupont and Nason bc/cc over gray sealer. Both seemed to cover in about the same # of passes. I think the Nason was about $36/qt compared to $80?/qt for Dupont. The best thing about the Nason, in my opinion, is the 497 clear. This is a 4:1 mix, ready to shoot for about $70/gal. It dries fast, sands and buffs great with excellent doi and gloss. This clear doesn't seem to be agressive as I've used it over several different types of graphics (lacquer and water base) with no problems and it even passed my cross-hatch adhesion test. I use the Nason as a lower cost option when necessary. They can match most of the OEM car colors but not Harley OEM colors (see PPG for these). If you already are using PPG, check out the PPG Omni line of lower cost finishes. I have and they compare favorably to the Nason in price. Decisions...decisions!
