NEED HELP ON WHAT TO CHARGE FOR CUSTOM PAINT

HERES A LIST OF WHAT I DID ON THIS JOB AND NEEDING SOME IDEAS ON WHAT TO CHARGE.IT TURNED OUT VERY WELL GOOD DEEP GLOSS ALTHOUGH THE PICTURE WAS TAKEN WHEN IT WAS CLOUDY,I TOOK IT DOWN TO THE BARE METAL THEN BASE COAT , CLEAR, THEN THE FLAME WORK WITH THE MARBLIZOR THEN THREE COATS OF CLEAR.THEN I SANDED IT OUT AND BUFFED IT AND GLAZED IT.

Hard to say since different locations have different labor rates and economies.Down here I'd want around $900-1000.You didn't mention primer so I presume you just sealed it and started painting.That price is probably low for a shop to do it,but I only do it on the side for now.Check around your area though,things are a bit higher down here I believe.Nice job,someone will have a sharp FXR.

Being that the paint job was more than 3 pieces (tank and fenders) you should charge a little more than normaly i dont know how much body work you did but as far as paint goes i would start in the $1500 range and then take in consideration your body work and add that in

ezrider,is that the going price up there?I was thinking around $1200-1400,but I don't have the overhead of a shop because I can do it at work for materials and a few bucks,and I am trying to get into it since I'm burned out in autobody.I haven't painted full time for 5 years since we can't do combo work or needed a painter,but I still paint occasionally to keep up with it.A few more bikes and I should get re-established with my work.
