i`m a newbie in custom painting but i`ve recently been proposed to do old school flames on a Volkswagen polo yr82. The car is Grey in color and the owner wants to do some touch up and then put the flames. We both went to the paint shop but the guys there said that they cant guess the type of paint used on it.,they say its probably a 2k paint. The problem is the owner`s painter has removed the badge containing the color code and the latter can`t remember the type of paint used on it..
Furthermore the paint shop guys advised me to use enamel paint for the flames as the 2k paints are not good for the airbrush..how to do that??enamel on 2k:is it possible? and wat about the clear coats??..help me guys, its the first time im painting a car,.*(im more into helmet and motorcycle tank airbrushing)

2K is fine in an airbrush as long as you clean it properly, i've sprayed MS and HS clears with my iwata kustom HP-CS. Be a lot quicker with a full size spray gun or a mini gun though.
