Need ideas for paint scheme on a race car

Im trying to come up with some different ideas for a paint scheme to put on a race car Im doing that looks almost identical to this car right now:

I was thinking about doing something like this:

or sort of like this:

Keep in mind that my airbrush and free handing skills are limited. His only requirements are that the back of the car be a bright silver and the front a bright red (2003 Cadillac tri stage red) and no flames. He wants a rip or tear or something like that to separate the colors.

Im a little lacking in the creativity department so Ive been looking all over the internet to get some diferent ideas but I havent found anything that I really liked yet.

Do you guys know of anywhere that I could look to get some more ideas?

Scheme looks pretty sharp! Add drop shadows and an outline around the edges for added depth.

I have painted a few race cars and I find the biggest bang for the buck is checkers, scallops, or rally strips. Other easy options are satin black or dark grey hood. Maybe a wedge pattern or even a 50/50 red on top silver on bottom. And instead of a straight line break it up with a tribal pattern or even a marlbalize stripe . Drag cars need to be flashy the more colors the better.

Do a google search for some images of Pro-Mod cars, they always have crazy paint jobs to get ideas from.
