need some color help

First of all hello to you all I am new to the forum and have read alot of useful things.
Now I need some color help. I have a 1954 pontiac 2 door hardtop I just got about a 3 months ago. Right now it is light yellow and primer brown but the colors look good together.
I want to do a pearl paint job on it after I finish the body work but can not pick out the colors I want. I saw a car in texas that looked like honey pearl but have not been able to find even a paint chip of the color I do want to use a yellow and brown combo.
any help?????

It sounds like you have looked at some chips in the paint store but did you ask if they still had the books from back in the 60s?Most stores around here only have 15-20 years of chips out to see,but stores that have been around have the old books stashed somewhere or will know who they gave them to.Also ask to see any specialty books like the fleet colors.You might have to pick the yellow and brown you like and add pearl to them,or 2tone the car and do a pearl overlay.To be subtle I'd add yellow or gold pearl in the yellow and the same in the brown,but the brown will probably lighten up some when you get a nice pearl effect.
