Need some ideas for my Lotus

Hey guys, I just bought a Lotus Elise...

I am in the process of stripping the whole car down to the bone because I want to repaint it. I am not a fan of yellow. I want to do a Grand Prix White (Honda color) base coat. I also what to do something incredibly abstract like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiTz7X2XOSk

I love teals and pinks. I'd like to incorporate both as long as the theme permits. I want this car to be a piece of art.

Does anyone have any good ideas?

I removed them. I didn't like 'em. The link was a video of the newest BMW art car. It was unbelievable.

Also, what is the best thing to use if you need to cover a large area with tape? I need to draw a huge picture and then cut it out so I can do several layers of paint. Does anyone make a roll of tape that is like 3 feet wide? Haha.

yep its called frisket paper or transfer paper

Same as Wydir said or you can use spray mask .

I just ordered a giant roll of low tack frisket paper. I am going to be doing about 4-5 different layers. I have still not decided on the colors.

The link was for the latest BMW art car. Just google "BMW art car" and check out the latest one. It's amazing.

I Googled it, and the one I looked at was a wrap or vinyl art. It wasn't painted. that would be a ton of work to paint.
I guess I looked the the one you are referring to?!

We had a fellow member that did some work "kind of" like this on his car. I believe he hand painted it though

I wouldn't mind hand painting it. In fact, that be kinda cool. Would I be able to use just a regular ol' brush, dip it in same base coat, and go to town on it? Then could I just clear over all of it?
