Hi everybody. My name is Mike, I am from Gurnee, Illinois - north of Chicago. Pinstriping and kustom artwork has always fascinated me. I tried a lame attempt as a kid to stripe, not knowing anything, and then gave it up pretty quick. (I still have the 1 shot from back then, when it contained lead!) I have watched a few local artists though the years, and I am still fascinated. Now, last month, at 42 years old, I pulled out the old 1 shot and the #00 series 20 Mack sword striper, and tried it again, this time actually using some thinner with the paint, and suprisingly pulled some straight lines. I have gone out and purchased some new 1 shot (without lead, but with some color variety) and some new brushes, and have been driving my wife crazy striping all sorts of stuff around the garage. I look forward to picking peoples brain, and learning some tricks of the trade. I have lots of questions and lots to learn, but I think I actually have a little bit of talent hidden somewhere inside of me. Any tips and advice would be much appreciated!
