hey everyone- i have a 82 XJ650RJ Seca that i would like to base paint white and put a design on using the red and black Yamaha racing graphics. I have painted a couple of bikes recently but have not tackled graphics. Is there a website that sells something i can adapt or maybe a website with tips on how to lay them out in paint. Any ideas appreciated!!! thanks

Graphics are all personal taste, but sometimes it's easier to do the 'thicker' color first. Let's say you are doing a white and candy red job. I would suggest in most cases to do the candy red first, the mask up the area that is to remain the candy red. Then spray the white. This goes for whether the candy red would be the graphics of the main base color.

I'm not understanding what you need to know...the "mechanics" of how to lay out graphics? That is, the type of sanding, taping, intercoating to do? Or the planning, laying out, or executing a specific design? Or just paint types, and order of painting steps?
All of the above whould take quite a lot of writing. Look at some old threads to see if you get a better idea of the methods, materials, and order of doing graphics, and then give us some specific questions you have.
Also helps to know how much you know right now...how long you've been painting and such.
