As I said I'm brand new to the forum. I'm very unfarmiliar with automotive painting so I thought this would be a good place to start. I am young, and just getting my first car soon. I'm looking to get a Fiero and I would love to try out painting. Is this a realistic goal for me? I have the determination, but I'm not sure if I have the skill. Obviously I dont have the knowledge, so this is why I'm here. I thought that a Fiero would be a decent car to try this out on, seeing that overall size and area of panels isn't a problem. Also, what is the average cost of a paint job? Thanks

Sure, you have to start out somewhere. Better to paint your own car for your first paint job, rather than someone elses.
I would suggest reading all the posts you can can on this forum and practice before actually painting your car.

Welcome to CFP Kas627. There's much info and people to help you here. Painting is not that difficult to learn. But it does get a little confusing on the different products available. But there's a lot of help here,and we're glad to help you. So pull up a chair and start reading and ask away.
