New member with a question

I just stumbled acroos this great site!!! My name is Tim, and I have a 72 Chevy C/10 that will be treated to a fresh coa of Chevy orange paint in a couple months. My question is, what color of flames would look best on an orange truck?? I had thought of going with medium blue ghost flames, but I would appreciate the opinions of the experts here. Any suggestions? Thanks

Tim, If you are going for a real rich look, you may want to try using a white that is a little to the yellow side for base color on your flames. with either bright silver tips, or bright silver pinstripe. another cool combo is charcoal and purple. you said you have a couple of months? a good idea would be to check out as many pictures in magazines, books, or any other type of custom paint literature you can get your hands on. orange is really popular now, and you should be able to spot some nice color combos. good luck.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know any great sites to see more flame paint jobs? I have run across a few, but no orange pickups. Once again, any and all info is very much appreciated.
