NEW PIX POSTING RULE

From the man himself, "one of the new rules..no outiside URL's. I bought this so everyone
can
upload pics to thier post. No more "album links, or site links". Site links doesn't mean stuff like the 'Helpfull Links' forum but the 'no competitive sites' clause in the rules still applies.Besides the image option on your posting or replying page there's a description in the FAQ section in the toolbar.In short you attach only the pic,not the whole album or site.This should simplify it but those of you that know me know I'll probably still have a prob with it,haha.The site's not done yet so some things don't work yet like the graemlins.It's hard for me to tell but I think you guys have some new options to play with.

Rex...where do you or can you even upload an image here in The Flames Board? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif You need a URL to paste and image under your post. The only way I've figured out how to get a URL for The Flames Board was to attach the image to the message and then view it. That would give the image a Custom Flame Painting URL. Once you view it you can copy/paste the URL from there. To me that's a lot of hassle. I'm just curious if there's an image uploading area that I'm missing.

Are you still allowed to go to an outside URL and copy paste that URL address into your UBB Image Code window?

When you finish your reply at the bottom it says" I want to preview my post and/or attach a file " and i believe you can up load pictures directly from your computer. i am still figuring out all the changes on the Board my self i am pretty computer illeterate and it takes me a bit to figure out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smashpc.gif

I got it figured out now and I believe this is the final setup.After your message make sure the 'preview/attach file' box is checked and hit continue.On the preview page hit 'browse' and find your pic on your computer files,not another site,then hit continue and it goes through.Scott said the pic will be in your post now instead of having an attachment up in the toolbar and the pics will be the size of this one.
So far the attachment is still there and it'll give you a blown up version of the posted one.At the moment I haven't figured out how to put the pic in and keep on typing.Hitting the continue under the attach bar loads the pic but posts it too,if you go down to the bottom of the page to add more text and hit continue the pic isn't there.No biggie,I just edit after it's posted like this try.The pic should be in the middle of all this but won't know till I'm done.This is way easier for us puter challanged people than the old board,you remember the tantrums and swearing I did /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gifThere must have been something wrong with that cigarette,never had one leave that much smoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif OK,the pic shows only at the end.

Sorry Joe B,missed your post.Yeah,the pic has to be on your computer,not anywhere else.Even though I wrote the first post I had a brainfart and still tried it the old way,just got the boxed X.I have a pic section on my computer so I just transfered everything from my Yahoo album back to my computer.It'll post the smaller version on the page so you don't get those huge pix that go off screen,but clicking 'attachment' in the toolbar like you were doing gives a larger image.I think it cuts down on the page loading time this way.

This is fun I can do this without throwing things anymore.One more.In Myrtle Beach you can even smoke in the bars /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif (hard to see but she's wearing a gasmask and is less than 10' away)
