I have not painted anything in over 10 years. I'm restoring a friends bike and want to paint it with HOK BC01 ( solar gold).

I was going threw there website and I'm a little confused.

Could someone help me with there product. What color primer would you use? reducer, klear coat...

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello BC01 (like all the other BC colors) are basecoats that are very transparent and have a larger flake. These really are intended to be under candy colors.

As far as a primer, you can use any color primer you like. We use 'buff' for the color primer. (yellow/beige color).
In the booth I normally use a medium gray under the BC01.

You can use any of the clears you would like. I like using the UC35 clear though along with the KU150 hardener.

So if I understand correctly, you would not recommend this for a regular base coat\ clear coat. What could I use to get good coverage in this color with a fine metalic ?
Thank you.

If you use the FBC-01 (F stands for fine), I would still suggest a medium gray.

I was never too fond of using any of the BC colors as a basecoat by itself.
My personal opinion. FBC's are better or any automotive color.
